Financial Controller

Financial controller position that works closely with the CFO, managing a team that produces financial reporting and maintains financial control.

The scientific approach from the organisation is closely related to how they have historically operated and they were formed to provide world leading research into the cure and prevention of disease.

Description

This exciting role will head up the financial control and reporting side of the finance team and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer. You will have the opportunity to lead a team committed to delivering excellent financial reporting and ensuring that all financial compliance is met.

Profile

• Lead on all financial management and reporting, including year-end accounts

• Oversee all systems and processes in place in the finance team and ensure these are fit for purpose, making improvements where possible.

• Lead on all financial compliance, regulation and control for the organization

• Leading the finance team and providing financial leadership for the organization more generally.

Job Offer

You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong experience in financial accounting and regulation as well as leading a high performing team. Ideally this will be within the not-for-profit sector, but all backgrounds will be considered. In addition, you will have a keen interest in the designing, developing and implementing new processes and systems.
