The Junior Real Estate Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support services, which will include: providing data input to prepare an opinion of value; assist in underwriting property values; perform market research; analyze comparable properties, economic and sales trends; preparation of financial analyses. Professionalism, critical thinking and attention to detail are a must.

The Junior Real Estate Financial Analyst will be a resourceful contributor to the team who can operate in a fast–paced environment, take direction, and multi–task under time constraints. Consistently projecting a friendly and professional demeanor, the Junior Real Estate Financial Analyst will report to the Executive Assistant and Principal of the Company.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Create and maintain financial models (e.g. proformas) for development and acquisition transactions, throughout their progress from initial feasibility to closing.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure that all operating, financing, and construction assumptions are accurate.
  • Identify, gather and research data from competing multi–family projects.
  • Track overall market trends such as rental growth, new development and acquisitions.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing/promotional materials and presentations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics or another related discipline required.
  • Understanding of financial analysis and underwriting.
  • Must possess exceptional analytical skills, strategic thinking and planning.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and can effectively manage time.
  • Strong critical thinking, listening and communication skills (both written & verbal).
  • Assertive, highly motivated, and creative self–starting individual.
  • Tenacity to accomplish tasks, follow–through and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to take direction from others and work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Must be technologically savvy with the ability to easily pick up computer programs and technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor and team–player attitude.
  • Ability to handle sensitive material and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Real estate background or knowledge is advantageous for this position.
