Assistant Accountant

This Assistant Accountant role is with a growing business based out of Saffron Walden with strong links and success achieved in the retail arena. With parking on site and study support this role offers progression through Accounts Receivable into a management accounting facility with it initially to support the Finance Manager in month end tasks

This organisation have made great in roads and partner with leading national retailers supplying their products across the nation. This 12 month contract is looking for the right progressive Assistant Accountant to progress into a permanent position and use the study support form day one to add value specifically within the management accounting and financial analysis areas. Based in Saffron Walden centre with parking on site and a supportive management team.

Description

This Assistant Accountant role will manage the Accounts receivable function and include heavy involvement in the month end management accounts production with the finance manager who is looking to be freed up to take on more strategic tasks.

• Assist with management accounting
• Bank reconciliations
• accruals and prepayments
• margin analysis
• debtors days analysis and management
• raise sales orders weekly and monthly
• partner with sales on orders

Profile

Assistant Accountant required characteristics and experience

• Exposure to some assistance in accounting
• Experience in Accounts receivable/sales ledger/credit control
• Studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA
• capable of using excel to pivot tables and vlookups ideally
• good numeracy
• personable nature with good communication skills
• hard working
• down to earth and sociable
