The business has taken market leading positions in football, rugby (official retail partner to both Munster and Leinster Rugby) running and fitness and sports inspired leisure wear. We are a growing business and continue to invest in our store portfolio as evidenced by recent store openings, a new flag ship store in Cork city centre, a new store in Blanchardstown shopping centre and a new store in McDonagh Junction in Kilkenny. Our multi-channel proposition is well established and our online store has previously won the Irish Internet Association ‘Best eCommerce Execution by a Retailer’ award. We operate in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment and are focused on delivering results and on driving shareholder value. We are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This person will report to our Financial Controller and will play a key role in preparing the consolidated month end accounts, in assisting in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting in reporting on key trading KPI’s and in providing strong business partnering support to key members of the trading team. Role Responsibilities: · Ownership of Establishment Costs including rent, rates and service charges Knowledge of turnover based rent agreements and rent free accounting. Ensuring all lease arrangements and future changes are closely monitored including invoice queries, payment frequencies and cashflow monitoring in conjunction with the Head of Facilities. · Ownership of Marketing Costs including analysis of key costs against budget Business partnering with Marketing team to support decision making and cost management. Reporting LSS key sponsorship arrangements with Leinster Rugby and Munster Rugby. Analysis of marketing cost metrics versus revenue across LSS Brand concepts. · Ownership of Logistics Costs including analysis of key costs against budget Work closely with Commercial Director, reporting and analysing key metrics related to warehouse productivity rates, warehouse agency costs transport and other distribution related costs. Maintain key relationship with LSS 3rd party logistics provider, DSV. Ownership of the company fixed asset register Regular capex review meetings with the Property team and key capital budget owners Fixed Asset reporting by store, Fixed Asset reporting by project Monthly capex forecast reporting including cash flow impacts · Produce areas related to monthly divisional and consolidated management accounts within 5 working days to include P&L and Balance Sheet. · Work closely with Financial Controller on annual budget and quarterly forecast submissions. · Bi - Monthly ROI VAT Submissions, Intrastat, VIES and Customs compliance. · Oversight of SPV audit and the production of financial statements including iXBRL files. · Continuous improvement of finance processes · Project Turas - Involvement in Microsoft D365 ERP Implementation, specifically Phase 2 for Finance which will Go Live in October 2019. · Ad Hoc project work as and when required by the Financial Controller. Technical Skills and Experience: · Qualified Accountant with at least 3-4 years’ experience at a similar level. · Strong technical accounting skills with up to date knowledge of relevant IFRS standards. · Experience in the retail / FMCG sector is a distinct advantage. · Experience in an ERP implementation is a distinct advantage, specifically Microsoft Dynamics D365. · Advanced excel user and strong system skills required.
