Description
Our client is looking for a Management Accountant to join their Accountancy team in Guildford
- Accountable for the production and analysis of the monthly management accounts, forecast and 4 year budget plan for your business areas. Work closely with key stakeholders and colleagues to ensure information is accurate and the financial position is optimised, challenging variances where necessary. Has ownership of the numbers, written commentary and a high level understanding of any variances.Provide support and financial advice to various stakeholders, educating non-Finance staff in Finance processes, ensuring a strong control environment and promoting Finance strategic aims.
- Responsible for completion and clearance of balance sheet reconciliations for assigned area.
- Be an active member of the Finance Team sharing best practice, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and contributing / leading to their implementation.
- Working with finance colleagues and Business Finance Partners in the provision of financial information (e.g. business cases, external returns).
- Identify value-adding opportunities around cost savings, increased profitability and business enhancement.
Profile
A successful candidate will have experience with the above & will ideally be studying CIMA/ACCA/AAT
