Our company in Muscat are looking for Manager who have experience in leading the VAT in medium and large companies to join our new assurance practice based in Muscat, Oman.

We are looking for: Manager, 8+ years (Big 10 indirect tax only), Indirect Tax, VAT, Chartered Accountant/ACCA, CPA or equivalent JOBPOINT is currently recruiting for a Manager VAT for an exciting opportunity based in Oman.
Looking for someone who can work with the Indirect Tax Services (with a special focus on VAT) for their practice. You will be responsible to build and handle a team in Oman.
The main focus of this role is to lead engagements that aim to prepare clients for new VAT introduction across the GCC and continue to lead the practice going forward. As a Manager for VAT service line, you will display a very high level of competency in VAT business development, technical knowledge, client delivery and engagement management. Technical Skill Requirements: VAT business processes VAT impact on supply chain and finance functions structure, roles and responsibilities Design VAT systems to automate business processes Design VAT reporting requirements and performance measurement VAT impact on finance personnel and recommendations Key data needed for VAT management Responsibilities: Work with the practice for indirect tax service line and significantly contribute to the business development and engagement delivery of VAT service line. Provide high quality VAT advisory and compliance services to a broad range of clients in the region. Develop robust solutions to changing Tax issues and drive the business development process to ensure continued growth of the Tax practice Handle the process of GAP Analysis for various clients on VAT implementation in the region Advise clients on their indirect tax matters and help resolving VAT related disputes and identify risks Collaborate with global teams in order to advice on VAT within global jurisdictions Develop and maintain expertise in the taxation area, including but not limited to tax treaties, transfer pricing and practices in other jurisdictions and act as a resource for tax staff Expand value-added services to existing clients by capitalising on opportunities within and across lines of service Plan, coordinate and conduct tax related training programmes for the staff members to continually develop their skills and competencies. Demonstrate and set high standards of behaviour, performance quality, credibility and integrity Act as a point of contact for statutory bodies and represent the practice on all VAT related matters in the region Profile Summary EmploymentType:Full Time
