Day Rate: GBP900 per day + expenses (Travel & Accommodation) Target Start Date: 14th of January 19 Term: 6 months Location: South West England (Candidates need to be able to commit to the full working week on–site for the entirety of the assignment) Client Description: Major PLC. Background of Assignment: The Group CFO requires an experienced interim group financial controller (deputy CFO) who can operate as their No.2, take ownership of the finance function and support them / executive management team through a critical period. The three main objectives are to manage a large team of 80+ finance professionals, providing clear leadership, support and applying a high–level of EI / EL / EQ. Evaluate the strength of the Group's financial controls and ensure they are of the highest standard / aligned to other PLCs in their peer group. Support the CFO and wider management team on M&A related matters. Candidate Description: To be considered, candidates will need to have operated as Group Financial Controller/Group Finance Director/Deputy CFO of a large/complex PLC. You will have spent significant time in Financial Reporting/Control and have had overall responsibility of delivering PLC reporting. You will also have strong track record of managing large teams c.50+ and can demonstrate the relevant skills/experience required to support the finance function. A background in M&A is also required and it would be advantageous if you have actually led on acquisitions, disposals, carve–out and refinancing. This is a sector agnostic assignment, relevant industry experience is not required.
