Role Purpose
The Senior Financial Analyst will play an integral role in the day–to–day management of On–Air Talent and Sports Production finances, including payment, tracking and budgeting. This position will support the Director, Talent and Production Finance.


  • Front–facing with Talent Department: attend weekly meetings, send status updates, and answer talent payment and contract questions
  • Prepare and submit on–air talent payroll, including maintenance of database, talent files and submission log
  • Calculate and report union earnings, contributions, and upgrades
  • Assist with the preparation of union audit requests
  • Update, maintain and actualize talent and overhead department budgets
  • Assist with FP&A deliverables: monthly closing, pacing, estimates, LRP, budgets, variances, etc.
  • Own accounts payable responsibilities for foreign talent, talent departmental and assigned sports: accurately code invoices, coordinate approvals, update operators and team members, and work with vendors as needed
  • Active involvement with Production Budget processes, including: In–depth preparation of budgets for upcoming season, attending budget meetings, manage follow–up, work closely with Scheduling department to manage staffing schedules and budgets, take ownership of assigned properties with oversight by manager; assist with annual budget efforts: pacing and reporting, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Own process of actualizing production budgets and updating individual show models for accurate cost forecasting; posting of expenses in show models
  • Ownership of assigned quarterly closing process: determining proper reclass and accrual journal entries, variance analysis, and post close financial reporting.
  • Ad hoc analyses and requests as required


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Excellent computer / analysis skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong with MS Office Suite products – particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with SAP FI/CO, BPC, and BW preferred
