A far reaching central government organisation based in Leeds city centre whose work impacts the lives of everyone within the UK.

Description

As Head of Financial Accounts you will use your accountancy skills within a diverse finance team responsible for a wide range of functions, including:

  • Delivery of core finance operations including accounting systems, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll in an efficient and effective manner
  • Effective management of internal control and delivery risks with emphasis on customer service to internal and external customers
  • Leadership and strategic oversight to the development of diverse team across multiple locations
  • Overseeing the embedding of new working practices within the teams to achieve the organisation vision and successful transition to the new ERP system

Profile

To be successful as a Head of Financial Accounts, you will need to possess the following skills and experience:

  • Fully qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA / CIPFA or equivalent
  • A strong track record of leadership of a team with excellent people management skills with the ability to promote team cohesion, and adapt to changes and improvements;
  • Experience of working for a complex and multiple stakeholder environment
  • Ideally experience of ERP system implementation experience
