Fortmoy Excavations is a local Excavation and plant hire company based in Box Hill, 2765 although we supply our services state wide. We are a medium sized enterprise growing rapidly. Fortmoy excavations has a large fleet of plant and skilled operators who take on both civil and specialized rail work. We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting/Payroll & Administration Officer to join the team; this role will be responsible for:
- Claim Preparation; assist in the weekly claim process; follow up on claim queries
- Assist in the monthly forecasting process
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Coding of purchases in Receipt Bank
- Assist with monthly journals as required and weekly reporting of receivables and payables
- Assist in the quarterly benchmark process (Prepare accounts for lodgement of BAS - including fuel tax credits)
- Preparation and lodgement of superannuation for employees and contractors
- Assist with end of month processes (Lodgement of PAYG and payroll tax)
- Keeping a weekly roster up to date
- Processing work dockets for payroll and invoicing
- Processing payroll
- Assist with other general administrative tasks as requested
- Experience in accounting using Xero and Receipt Bank
- Accurate, timely & well organised record keeping
- High customer service & professional manner
- Good communication with different levels of customers (internal & external)
- Strong problem-solving skills & data processing skills; eye for detail
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes
