Your opportunity

This is your opportunity to join Deloitte's growing Forensic team in either our Birmingham office. We work with our national Forensic practices and other Deloitte professionals around the world to undertake a wide range of dispute work (including expert witness, advisory and arbitrations) and investigation work (including fraud, corruption and regulatory investigations) as well as advising clients on proactive solutions to identify and manage their economic and misconduct risk. We also help our clients harness technology to identify and address related challenges in a variety of industries.

You can expect to work on exciting, client-facing projects and be actively involved in growing our business from day one. The sensitive nature of the data we work with often creates exciting opportunities to work at client sites both at home and abroad. Join us and you’ll be joining a growing multi-disciplinary and highly motivated team.

Your role

Deloitte Forensic is one of the world's largest global practices, meaning you will get the opportunity to work on international projects, experiencing varying business and cultural environments. Being part of a specialist group, but within a global network of member firms, means you will be part of a personalised culture but with the support and benefits of a large organisation. In Forensic, you will work with businesses and legal advisors across all aspects of the litigation and investigation process.

As an Assistant Manager you will be involved in a wide range of projects and asked to:

• Assist clients to react quickly to investigate allegations of accounting misstatement, fraud, bribery and corruption, including regulatory breaches;
• Work closely with our Forensic Technology team to extract and review both structured (i.e. databases, enterprise systems, etc.) and unstructured (i.e. email messages, audio files, etc.) data to assist in investigations and assessing/monitoring fraud risk;
• Assist in the preparation of formal investigation interviews;
• Work in multi-disciplinary teams, collating and assessing evidence;
• Prepare analysis work to be incorporated into expert witness reports to quantify losses;
• Assist in the drafting of formal reports in the context of expert witness or investigation assignments;
• Have the opportunity to work directly with Partners and Directors; and
• Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

Your work, your choice

How long does impact take? How long is a piece of string? How many seconds does a solution contain? How can we possibly tell? After all, impact can be huge or small. Immediate or years in the making. At Deloitte we believe the best impact is the value we add, not the hours we sit at our desk.
We, therefore, carefully consider agile ways of working, both formal and informal, that allow for the best impact for our people and our clients. If the working pattern you are looking for is not specifically indicated below, we are happy to discuss alternative arrangements.
