Senior Executive, Global Embryonic Team - EY Transaction Advisory Services

EY Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) has developed a cloud-based platform that uses proprietary AI-driven algorithms to read millions of data points for fast market insights by visualizing financial and non-financial relationships between traditional and innovative, disruptive businesses. After a successful Proof of Concept, EY TAS is now looking to expand the market activation and client engagement model for this technology enabled platform.

The opportunity

We are seeking to further expand our team with consultants who work across a range of sectors that include Private Equity, Digital and Automotive. As a Senior Executive in our team, you'll advise clients across all sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions use your intellectual guile and enthusiasm to apply your technical skills across the M&A transaction lifecycle; including pre-deal diligence, portfolio review and corporate carve-outs & integrations.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Executive within the Global Embryonic team, you assist in aspects of business origination, including pitches and presentations, and attending meetings with clients to help sell work and work in a transaction environment operating under tight M&A timeframes and demands and be familiar working in a large-scale consulting environment or industry role. In this role you'll advise clients across all sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions.

Skills and attributes for success

You will participate in the execution of transactions across the client portfolio, preparing client reports and key documentation. You will take an active role in business development activities including involvement in the preparation of marketing materials, and meeting with existing / target clients. You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Working at the forefront of AI and Machine Learning technology and help to realize real life business application
  • Help identify and ensure all business requirements are documented, tested and delivered
  • Obtain great exposure to TAS and firm-wide leadership and an understanding of AI technology
  • Work with TAS colleagues and TAS functions across the world and expand your global network
  • Originate and deliver transaction ideas, identifying opportunities, opening and leveraging relationships
  • Project manage the transactions, driving the transaction timetable, ensuring quality on client deliverables, as well as managing counterparties and other advisers to ensure transaction milestones are met
  • Understanding the key business drivers as well as predicting, identifying, and managing key issues and risks through insights, factual conclusions and advice
  • Working collaboratively across different teams and disciplines
  • Being creative in the sourcing and use of information and able to make sensible assumptions where appropriate


To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Professional services 'Consulting' experience within a Big 4 Global environment.
  • At least four years' experience working within the Transaction Advisory Services within a Big 4 environment.
  • Operational experience in deal origination, go-to-market initiatives and transaction analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience of producing and reviewing high calibre reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership.
  • Business administration knowledge / qualifications (Ideally MBA qualified).
