Trust Supervisor - Fantastic Firm of Accountants

We are assisting a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based near Horsham in their search for a Trust Supervisor to join them in a general accounts and tax role focusing on Trusts, IHT and CGT.

Description

Reporting to the Partners you will be an integral member of the private client tax department which looks after individuals (including high net worth families), trusts and deceased estates.

You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, with appropriate support and the role will include:

Preparation of trust and estate accounts and tax returns

Preparation of individual's tax returns

Preparation of Inheritance Tax returns connected with trust events

Providing tax and general advice regarding trust formation and reorganisations including breaking trusts

Providing general tax advice including Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax

The role has some specific features which distinguish it from typical trust controller or supervisor roles:

Direct client contact

You will support the team's workflow, billing and debtors and ensure that key deadlines, including annual accounts and tax compliance are met

You will be responsible for supporting high net worth family groups

Profile

ACA/ ACCA/ ATT or CTA qualified and ideally STEP qualified too

Trust experience from either an accountancy practice or legal practice
