Financial Reporting Accountant

We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant looking to make their first move in to industry. Working underneath some fantastic people that you can learn from this role is a far cry from a BAU Financial Reporting role. You will need strong project management, communication and analytical skills.

The role will form part of a newly created group Finance function for a newly listed business based in Edinburgh. The unified finance function wil mange the merger of two business and the demarger from a group.

As part of the wider Financial Reporting, Planning and Performance team you will be part of the project to create and implement the new financial reporting policies and processes for the group. This will be a high profile and highly visible project where you will gain significant expsoure to senior stakholders.

You will support the preparation of Group financial statements, under IFRS, and will activbely contribut to finance change projects. You will also be involved in the production of monthly board and group executive reporting.

Due to the nature of the changes, there will be ample opportunity for progresssion and development.

You will be a qualified accountant with working knowledge of IFRS. Those who have experience working with large financial sevies, life & pension or asset managers as part of their role within audit are highly sought after.
