About the Role: We're adding superior talent to our team, and we are currently looking for an experienced accountant / finance manager to support our leadership and extended team. As our Accountant you will be responsible for the coordination and leadership of the functions of the accounting department, operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This position is ideal for a strong, detail oriented professional who can has executive presence and communication skills, combined with a drive for results and can-do mindset. In this role you will be responsible for the timely preparation of financial statements, generating forecasts and analysis of the organization's business trends for regular presentation to the CEO and company directors. Your contributions will directly impact the efficient running of the company, and the ongoing strategic decision-making processes required to maximize the financial potential of the agency. Key responsibilities will include: Prepare or contribute to the preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly forecasts Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statements Establish and oversee compliance with internal controls Prepare client invoices Manage key financial regulatory filings and associated strategies Demonstrating / building a deep understanding of advertising agency finances, key metrics and ratios based on available resources Oversee the development of annual audited financials in collaboration with audit partners Contribute to long-range financial planning for the business Oversee the work of external accounting and payroll partners Managing the work of the company's executive / administrative assistant and aspects of the operations function Using various software, especially QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and, Outlook. Prepare the monthly payroll Manage operating cash / disbursements as needed Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. client service / account management) on the development of accurate forecasts Manage ALL key accounting functions About you / Your Key Attributes: Along with drive for results, inventiveness, agility, empathy and straightforwardness, your previous experience and attributes will include: Full ACCA Qualification Preferred, ACCA Level III and above considered Minimum of 5 years' experience in an accounting role for a comparable entrepreneurial organization or relevant larger corporation. Preference given to individuals with experience in agency or service-based organizations Minimum of 2 years in a senior accountant role for a comparable entrepreneurial organization or relevant larger corporation. Preference given to individuals with experience in agency or service-based organizations Effective time management skills and the ability to organize a daily workload by priorities. Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills. Team player attitude with ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Robust communications skills - verbal and written. A desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A motor vehicle in good working condition. Compensation: Compensation based on observed skills and experience to range between TT$12,000 and $16,000.
