- Manage the full sets of accounts and carry out all MAS reporting related activities.
- Ensure that cash flows are acceptable to allow the business units to operate effectively.
- Carry out the forecasting of cash payments and anticipating challenges arising from limited cash flow.
- Maintain good relationships with the banks and carry out loans negotiations and merchant services for the various entities.
- Set-up and maintain the accounts system.
- Perform the preparation and presentation of financial reports for meetings and investors.
- Work with business heads to prepare budgets and track profit / loss performance by entities and on consolidated basis.
- Management of expense claims process, and ensure that all claims are in line with the organisation's claims policy.
- Develop solutions to new financial challenges by applying financial/treasury knowledge.
- Liaise with other departments and business units locally and abroad on a range of issues.
- Providing advice on financial matters that will have impacts on the company.
- Preparation of financial reports and submissions to relevant government bodies.
- Carrying out, arranging and preparing for financial audits and reviews as required.
- Banking money and cheques received and issuing invoices and receipts as and when necessary.
- Carry out the maintenance and transferring of money between bank accounts as required.
- Payment of invoices and fees as required or as instructed;
- Compute corporate income tax expense and make provisions as necessary.
- Liaise and work with relevant tax agents on matters relating to taxation matters.
- Recommend and maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over Finance Department activities
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting plus 5+ years of progressively responsible finance or treasury experience.
- Candidates with SME and/or start-up experience preferred.
- Computer literacy including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with standard accounting software packages
- Strong verbal and written communications skills in English and Mandarin to work with counterparts in Hong Kong.
- Number sensitive, conscientious and organised; Strong planning and prioritisation abilities
- Fluent English and Mandarin required to communicate with colleagues in Hong Kong.
- Mature to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all aspects and be comfortable with flexible working schedule to meet the needs of the Company.
- Multi-tasker; capable of working on multiple projects at one time, often under pressure
- Ability to keep accurate records and statistics
- Awareness of administrative and financial regulations and how to apply them to daily workflows
