About our client:

Our client is an international bank, looking to hire a VP, Liquidity/Cash Product Manager, min 7 years of experience in Cash Management product.


Transaction Banking Team - Corporate Cash Management is keen to enhance its capabilities in the liquidity space in order to establish its team as a treasury bank of choice for its clients. Cash Concentration and Notional Pooling are traditional liquidity management products that have multiple flavors across the globe and more so in Asia. To cater to the needs of the market for liquidity solutions in a challenging region, our client is looking for a regional product manager who can strike the right balance between location specific demands with those of the overarching region. He/she will be a full time resource who can develop and manage our liquidity product portfolio in various locations across Asia Pacific. The role will allow the candidate to gain exposure to liquidity product offering globally as well as other related products in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Member of the global liquidity management team focusing on APAC
  • Develop and manage liquidity product portfolio end-to-end, in line with Product Management Lifestyle (PML) framework
  • Provide oversight of strategic, technical as well as marketing elements of liquidity product portfolio
  • Product & portfolio profitability analysis - pricing governance, client profitability analysis etc
  • Setting KPIs with regular performance reviews
  • Able to advise clients on liquidity structures (one bank side) best suited for their requirements

Product Development:
  • Identify and validate market problems for current and future products by gaining insights into requirements of existing as well as prospective clients
  • Define and size the business opportunity across market segments
  • Develop and get internal support for the business cases
  • Determine the appropriate technology and operating model by evaluating build, buy or partner options
  • Liaison with sales, operations, technology and other key internal stakeholders
  • Develop market requirement documents and support functional reviews, if required.

Product Marketing & Management:
  • Define and execute launch plan for newly introduced products (or product features), including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Initiation and timely completion of New Product Approvals (NPAs)
  • Develop appropriate product positioning for individual markets and buyer types
  • Ensure organisational readiness ahead of launch through appropriate knowledge transfer to key stakeholders in sales, operations and related support functions
  • Competitive bench- marking
  • In cooperation with in-country product managers, conduct regular market and competitor research for early identification of new opportunities; proactive communication of findings to involved internal stakeholders
  • Support Sales in identifying opportunities for lead generation as well as key client pitches / trophy deals
  • In cooperation with global product managers, channel region-specific requirements for inclusion into global product road map

  • Min 7 years experience in liquidity products e.g Cash Concentration, Notional Pooling, Payments, clearing, credit topics etc
  • Graduates in any discipline (preferably Finance) with experience in product management/development in a MNC bank (preferred) / corporate treasury with understanding of inter company loan management, working capital management, interest rate computations, value balance calculations and accounting principles (in general)
  • Effective communication skills for stakeholder management
  • Ability to work with teams located in different time zones
