Provide a timely and accurate transaction processing service for supplier invoices in compliance with control systems.

Client Details

A leading transport company based in London.


The key responsibilities for the role of Accounts Payable Assistant will be:

  • Process invoices received in a timely manner
  • 3 way matching, Goods Received Notes to invoices, PO's to invoices
  • Review and process e-invoicing files received from suppliers
  • Ensure that the procedures for authorising purchase invoices are adhered to
  • Ensure that VAT inputs and outputs are accurately identified
  • Assist in resolving disputes between the company and external suppliers / customers
  • Undertake escalating unresolved disputes to contract management
  • Ensure that supplier statement reconciliations are prepared on a periodic basis
  • Use of Oracle system


The successful candidate must be/have:

  • Working experience of using three way matching - PO's to invoices - is essential
  • Must be a team player
  • At least 3 years experience in Accounts Payable role

  • Working knowledge of purchase ledger modules
  • Good understanding of Accounts Payable processes
  • Good standard of numeracy & literacy
  • Good attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Good interpersonal skills and effective communicator
  • Experience of transactions processing in accordance with defined procedures
  • Experience of providing effective customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience using Oracle is preferred
