Aston Carter have partnered with a leading Global Insurance Company looking for a highly competent contractor to join a growing team. Although this is initially a contract role there is a strong view for permanent upon completion.
This person will:
  • Produce and analyse data on the balance sheet and income statement for Australian and US GAAP.
  • Coordinate month end process including entries and accruals.
  • Effectively coordinate year end audit.
  • Work closely with regional (HK) and head office (US) on balance sheet monitoring. Additional liaising with fund manager and custodian on reconciliation of investments.
  • Identifying process improvements and creating a best practice for existing accounting processes.
To be successful you will need:
  • Experience in insurance industry or in financial services environment.
  • CA or CPA qualifications.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
  • Be able to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Be able to liaise with other departments and external parties if necessary.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Be an effective team player.
  • Demonstrate a can do attitude with a good attention to detail.
