The Role

On offer is the role of Group Financial Controller that will see you lead and direct a multi-disciplinary team responsible for providing the core financial and accounting services and ensuring DHA meets its compliance obligations as well as supporting commercial business needs.

Main responsibilities include:

• Manage DHA's financial compliance activities including statutory financial statements, Government financial statements, revenue and asset management processes.
• Provision of financial and technical accounting advice to senior management
• Assist with implementing strategies to ensure DHA's financial corporate objectives are met.
• Be the key contact with internal and external auditors on financial matters

About you

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes and experience:

• Extensive experience in managing a corporate accounting function
• Detailed knowledge of Government reporting requirements.
• Experience in the provision of technical financial advice and briefing Senior Executives.
• Strong team management experience
• Highly developed analytical and communication skills
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting with membership of CPA or CAANZ.
