PERU | Pro Bono Accountant @ NFP Empowering Andean Women | 6 – 8 Weeks

Exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant (ACCA - or equivalent) looking to give back and have an adventure. Travel to Peru and share your skills to support local female entrepreneurs.

(Accommodation & meals provided, fluent Spanish needed)

Based in the beautiful Sacred Valley of Peru, our partner works to empower Andean women and their families by investing in their skills, leadership and market access so they can increase their income and transform their communities. They would benefit from the support of a volunteer who could help them identify problems and improve or simplify their systems for costing and pricing inventory.

A large portion of the organisation’s funds are generated through their social enterprise programmes, and tourist and volunteer activities. They have a complex and problematic system to cost and price inventory of over 100 products that the artisan partners make.

They are looking for a pro bono accountant to develop systems that help them evaluate cost, set accurate prices, understand and update the cost of each material, and analyse and distribute overhead costs in a clear, fast and reliable way.  

This voluntary assignment is a unique opportunity to apply your professional skills in an international development setting, significantly contribute to the support and development of local staff and have a lasting impact. If you are a qualified accountant, looking to gain relevant international experience to help you transition into the sector, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. (English speaking assignments also available)
