• Develops and implements goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and payroll.
• Lead and develop finance teams.
• Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
• Reviews financial statements with management personnel.
• Ensures that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
• Ensures corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed.
• Takes ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies.
• Directs the maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
• Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
• Directs and participates in cost analyses and rate studies.
• Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
• Directs internal/external audits/regular reviews involving the review of accounting and administrative controls.
• Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties
• Monitors and regularly reports (monthly/quarterly) on the business unit(s) performance as compared to the company business plan
• Form a close working relationship with the Establishment's lenders
• Facilitate and participate in bank meetings on behalf of the shareholders and prepare relevant necessary presentations and Q&A sessions as and when requested by the banks
• Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
• Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
