This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Supervisor to join a growing business in south Bristol on a permanent basis

Client Details

Our client is a growing business with an excellent reputation in the market. They are currently recruiting for a Finance Supervisor to look after part of their growing accountancy department

Description

The Finance Supervisor will be responsible for;

  • Line Management of Banking Assistant and Payment Assistant and potential for more as the team grows
  • Training of new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete their work

Ensuring the team delivers to theirSLA's for all tasks including:

  • Direct debits posted daily and filed
  • Maintain Excel Tracker for intercompany movements and all funds transfers.
  • Payment runs uploaded and approved within deadline
  • Bank accounts rolled & posted daily, non Nordea rolled & posted weekly
  • Client Refunds are paid and filed same day that we received on EBIS and send confirmation to LFC
  • Posting of manual Payment same day ,filed away and confirmation sent to the LFC
  • All integration tasks completed within deadlines, including introductory phone call, client letters sent, direct debits and standing orders actioned , opening New Bank Accounts for all New Integrations and legacy accounts closed within the 90-day deadline
  • Ensuring that all Bank accounts are funded ( payment of Suppliers/Payroll/ VAT &Tax)
  • Rolling and posting Bank accounts on a daily basis. 6 is the maximum number of legal entities at one time.
  • Delivering Banking acquisitions tasks to deadline for allocated surgeries including obtaining the list of existing SOs and DDs from the integration team and ensuring they are successfully transferred, sending out client BACs letters, timely and accurate completion and delivery of new bank mandates, tidying up and closing all Non-Nordea bank accounts
  • Opening Bank account for New Acquisitions
  • Delivering fully reconciled Bank Recs for all bank accounts to deadline on a monthly basis, with no uncleared payments >6 months old and no uncleared cash receipts on the bank or the cash book >30 days that have not been escalated to the relevant LFC and the FC. Making sure that cash book reconciles with the General Ledger.
  • Querying with Integration team and or LFC as appropriate to identify any unknown bank items, to ensure they can be posted correctly, minimising un-posted items on the bank at month-end
  • Liasing with the takings Team on Items on the BACS on a weekly Basis
  • Dealing with queries and ensuring any banking process issues are picked up and resolved
  • Completion of line management tasks for your team - training and development, probation reviews, annual appraisals, regular 1-1s
  • Ensuring all tasks for which you are responsible are completed to a high standard of quality, and the teams SLA is adhered to at all times
  • Help create and promote a positive and supportive environment within the team
  • Willingness and ability to pick up ad-hoc tasks as directed by the team Management, and still ensure all tasks for which you are responsible for are completed on time, and to the correct standard

Profile

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role and will be studying AAT or ACCA/CIMA and be looking to develop their management career
