Senior Business Analyst

Description About the Position The Senior Business Analyst works with product managers, clients and the customer service, software engineering and quality assurance teams to gather detailed business requirements and translate requirements into functional specifications, use case scenarios, test plans and other documentation as may be required. Responsibilities Gather, understand and document business requirements and current market practices. Work with the team and stakeholders to design system solutions and deliver product enhancements and maintenance deliverables. Documentation of software functional requirements and system specifications Recommend test strategy and approaches and review test plans. Review and test product at various stages to ensure that the deliverable performs as expected. Write release notes and other documentation as may be required. Train internal teams on new functionality and present new functionality to clients. Serve as an escalation point for production issues. Collaborate on medium and long term strategy and planning Act as product expert for other areas of the company, i.e. sales, pre-sales and professional services. Support continuous process and quality improvement practices through the application of root-cause-analysis. Qualifications Knowledge: For Cash Management role, knowledge should include US Cash Management experience, in particular bank balance and transaction importing, BAI/SWIFT file formats, bank reconciliation, daily cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, electronic payments. For Hedge Account/Compliance role knowledge should include knowledge of ASC 815 (FAS 133) IFRS 9 (IAS 39) standard and guidance, practical experience with hedge accounting including hedge designation, assessment and measurement requirements and associated accounting treatment. For Valuation role, knowledge should include Extensive hands on knowledge of interest rate, foreign currency, commodity market, debt, equity, and credit markets and the instruments transacted therein, such as cash spot and forward, OTC derivatives, exchange-traded derivatives, capital market instruments, understanding and application of standard pricing models and techniques, understanding of market data curves, inputs, and construction and sources of market data for interest rates, credit, FX, and commodities. Ability to reproduce calculations in spreadsheets For Risk Management role, knowledge should include Extensive hands on knowledge of interest rate, foreign currency, commodity market and the derivative instruments transacted therein, such as cash spot and forward, OTC derivatives, exchange-traded derivatives, capital market instruments Good functional understanding and familiarity with cloud-based technology solutions and architecture. Experience in all stages of software development lifecycle. Understanding of and ability to implement best practices in various structured development methodologies. Developing expertise in collecting and understanding business requirements, and translating these into requirements documents, use cases, functional specifications and test plans and other key documentation. Ability to articulate complex issues in a concise manner for consideration and action determination. Background and knowledge in areas of treasury management. Functional understanding of databases, software architecture and software-as-a-service. Proficiency in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio) Experience: 3-5 years experience in banking sector, Corporate Treasury or related financial software company Experience with cash management and treasury systems a plus. Experience in the development of in house position and risk management systems a plus Experience with a software vendor of capital market trading and accounting systems or with the banking industry a plus Education/Certification: Bachelors degree preferably in business, finance, or engineering Certified Treasury Professional or Chartered Financial Analyst a plus Additional Requirements: Strong critical and numerical thinking skills.
