People Advisory Services (PAS) - Strategic Reward Advisory - Senior Consultant

Our People Advisory Services business (PAS) is focused on people management and our vision is to help our clients get it right - in all its facets - reward management, global mobility, HR transformation, legislative compliance and much more. PAS has three key pillars: Mobility, Reward (encompassing Global Employment Taxes, Strategic Reward Advisory, Share Plans and Global Equity), Workforce advisory.

The Strategic Reward Advisory team advises leading companies on their total reward strategy, ensuring the alignment of all elements of reward with their business strategy. The team helps organisations design reward programmes for employees and executives that will help meet their corporate objectives. These would include overall reward strategy; pay benchmarking; design of short- and long-term incentives; implementation and assistance with other operational issues such as remuneration policy and reports as well as communication support.

We are now seeking Senior Consultants to join the team who want to further build their career within reward advisory.

Key responsibilities

- Contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of reward related projects ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business driven approach

- Conduct reward research and analysis and prepare high quality client deliverables

- Build relationships both within EY and with clients to identify commercial opportunities

- Supporting business development initiatives and contribute to winning new client work

- Responsible for supporting day-to-day client liaison

Skills and Experience required

- Proven experience in executive and/or broad-based reward, gained through other reward consulting roles or in house experience

- Essential knowledge and experience in pay benchmarking and data analysis with a working knowledge of Excel (at least intermediate level), other MS Office tools, job evaluation, reward strategy design, incentive plan design, drafting remuneration reports, project management, time management and budget monitoring

- Preferred knowledge and experience in corporate governance, sales incentive design, equal pay auditing and gender pay reporting

- Client focused and commercially aware with a keenness to further develop skills and knowledge in reward

- Effective communicator in a range of situations, both written and oral

- Ability to build strong relationships both with clients and internally, at all levels.

- Proactive and forward thinking approach to work with the ability to take ownership and solve problems creatively and pragmatically to deliver high quality outputs

- Team player with the ability to integrate with teams quickly

- Coaching more junior members of the team, where appropriate
