The Central Compliance team is looking for a Compliance professional with specialist Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) experience to lead the newly created ABC function in the Asia region in implementing the Bank's ABC strategy for Compliance.

Mission

  • Lead the implementation of the Bank's ABC strategy within the Asia Pacific region for the Compliance Department.
  • Provide leadership, support and guidance on ABC related topics to ensure compliance with global, regional and local laws, regulations and Bank policies.
  • Manage and maintain ABC related policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of ABC compliance processes.
  • Provide advice on and pre-clearing of gifts and entertainment requests, political and charitable donations and sponsorship requests.
  • Provide advice to stakeholders regarding third party intermediaries, vendor and procurement processes, staff hiring practices and transactional advice including ABC related due diligence.
  • Implement or support stakeholders in implementing and monitor appropriate controls in processes related to ABC.
  • Overseeing and, where appropriate, undertaking, the internal investigation of issues arising from breaches of related policies, and escalate where necessary.
  • Contribute to ABC MI reports and maintain all associated records in accordance with legal, regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Develop and deliver ABC training to employees.
  • Actively promote ABC principles both within, and externally to, the Compliance Department


Profile

Education
  • Graduate level with legal or other professional qualifications required.

Experience

  • Minimum 8+ years' work experience in Compliance at an equivalent organisation.
  • Anti-bribery and corruption experience required, with experience in financial crime, compliance advisory or law at an equivalent organisation also favourably considered.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing ability.
Technical Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of anti-bribery and corruption laws and policy foundations.
  • Good knowledge of compliance frameworks and financial products.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
