Trainee Management Accountant

A Trainee Management Accountant role is being recruited for an exciting business based near Chester.

Description

As Trainee Management Accountant, you will take responsibility for your own subsidiaries within the business and assume the following duties:

• Assisting the production of monthly management accounts including commentary
• Posting accruals and prepayments, and other journals
• Cashflow forecasting on a daily and monthly basis
• Balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing other reconciled items
• Preparing VAT returns
• Supporting the Finance Manager on an ad-hoc basis with other finance related tasks

Profile

We are looking for the following skills and experience for the Trainee Management Accountant role:

• Month end exposure is desirable - able to post accruals and prepayments, and experience of reconciliation
• AAT qualified or degree educated, and studying towards CIMA/ACCA
• Excellent communication skills and can build strong relationships across the business
• Logical and methodical in their approach
• Positive attitude and keen to progress and learn
