AVP ( Financial Regulatory Reporting/Insurance Industry)

• Responsible for daily insurance accounting and support regulatory reporting;
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of period end General Ledger journals and other month-end closing work steps;
• Work with respective Business Units and IT for system enhancements and timely resolution of interface issues and reconciling items;
• Support User Acceptance Testing when required;
• Review of work processes and controls to improve effectiveness and efficiency of reconciliations and financial closing;
• Support Group Finance and other company's initiatives as required;
• Liaise with auditors and respective internal departments to address audit findings
• Build up the capability of the team by training, job rotation and effective team back up plans.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Accountancy or Qualified Accountant;
• Preferably 5-7 years of relevant working experience. Candidates with life and/or general insurance accounting experience have advantage;
• Strong focus on timely and accurate reporting;
• Meticulous and ability to handle detailed work;
• Strong in MS Excel (formula) and MS Office
