Client Details
Based in canningvale, my client is a complex engineering business with multiple entities and a payroll of approximately 50 staff. They have the latest cloud based accounting software (Xero) but due to a lack of resources in recent months they require an additional resource in their finance team to work through a backlog of reconciliations.
Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working through a backlog of reconciliations: balance sheet, credit cards, bank accounts, etc
- Working closely with the existing accounts team to ensure all transactional processing is complete.
- Producing financial statements for multiple entities.
- Reconciling intercompany transfers and intercompany loans between entities.
- Any other processing required to balance the books!
Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced bookkeeper with demonstrated exprience with similar "cleanup" projects. Additionally:
- Cert IV in BK or Accounting would be highly regarded but is not essential.
- Good working of knowledge of Xero
- Previous experience in a multi-entity environment (crucial)
- Ability to be flexible and work within existing processes.
Job Offer
This project is expected to take around 4 weeks but could be extended or shortened depending on progress with the project. This would be an ideal contract for a self-employed bookkeeper who has experience with similar projects.
The salary will be in line with candidate experience.
