We currently have a great opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join a retail organisation, who are currently looking to expand there operations by expanding into a number of stores in the coming months. This opportunity also offers the benefit of being conveniently located within close proximity to the St. Kilda area and is easily accessible via the Sandringham train line and trams.
Client Details
Our client is a locally owned and operated fashion label who have on-trend mens and woman's clothing. With their new summer collection just released they are on the lookout for a new store bookkeeper. This position is one that will have you working as a bookkeeper at their inner suburbs offices, where they are known for having a fun and dynamic workplace environment.
Description
Reporting to the Managing Director, your role will include but will not be limited to:
- Accurately inputting and processing end to end payables/receivables
- Ensuring all outstanding debts are paid to relevant credit terms
- Processing end to end payroll for up to 50 employees
- Handling all employee/contractor payroll enquires
- Completing retail bank reconciliations daily
- Monthly reporting and reconciliations for all relevant accounts
- Additional ad-hoc functions as required by the business
Profile
The successful applicant would ideally have previous experience in a similar bookkeeping environment and be able to demonstrate a high level of time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also required. You will also have the ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks to ensure you meet required deadlines. Previous experience using in the retail industry would be considered advantageous.
