The Organisation
Aston Carter has been engaged to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis in the Huntingwood region. This position will allow you the opportunity to work for a leader within the FMCG space and will also support your growth with future progression steps to take for your career. The Accounting manager will be in direct contact with you for daily reporting, this role presents the chance for an up and coming candidate to evolve in their career in a thriving global organisation. The Role
This role will be reporting to the Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Strong experience with preparation & completion of balance sheet reconciliations
Month-end duties
Revenue reporting and recognition
Cash flow forecasting
Maintenance of Fixed Assets Register
Preparation of Monthly Management Schedule of Fixed Assets for reporting purposes
Profit and Loss variance analysis and commentary
Preparation of general ledger reconciliations
Other ad-hoc reporting as requested
Completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations
Experience and Skills Required
2-3 year's experience in an accounting capacity
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
High performing and results oriented
Ability to perform in a fast paced environment
Oracle system experience is preferred but not essential
Strong excel knowledge (Bonus: Macro experience)
Team player
Drive, motivation and the right attitude for success
