INTERNAL AUDITOR

Guardsman Group Limited, the leading security solutions provider in Jamaica and the Caribbean, requires suitably qualified candidates for the following post. Main Purpose of Job The position requires the incumbent to conduct audits in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) standards and provide managment with information on the effectivementss of controls, accuracy of financial records and efficiency of operation The incument must be a genuine team player who may be required to be a Team Leader.  He/She will also be required to travel. Responsibilities Include: Conduct risk assessment and develop risk based audit programs Review the suitability of internal control design Conduct various types of audits such as performance, value for money, compliance and operational. Conduct audit testing, identify reportable issues and the dimension of risk. Draft and communicate a comprehensive report of the audit area. Follow up on audit recommendations to assure implentation of promised corrective action. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirement: Two (2) or more years of experience in an internal audit role. ACCA or Backelor's Degree in Accounting Business or related discipline. Professional Designation (for example, CPA, CIA, CISA) would be an asset. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and Data Analysis software required. Understanding of internal auditing standards, COSO and risk assessment practices. Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance, and provide appropriate direction to other internal audit team members. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
