At the heart of this community health care organization, you?ll find a committed and talented group of providers, caregivers, administrators, and organizers. With nearly a dozen Federally Qualified Health Centers, it?s important that the new Chief Financial Officer has in–depth experience with FHQC Billing procedures, Medicare and Medicaid financial compliance, and a general understanding of why organizations like this exist in the first place: to serve the community.

This non–profit community health organization offers a wide range of services to the very diverse population of California?s Wine Country. From primary care services that cover check–ups, dental, and vision, to more specialized services in Mental Health and Community Wellness. The Chief Financial Officer will be able to take gratification that the community grows stronger and healthier with each day.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will report to the Health Care Organization?s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In conjunction with the COO, your partnership will work to develop operational and mission–based strategy that will serve this community well into the future. You?ll oversee an excellent team of FQHC and Non–Profit Finance Experts, Billing & Collections Supervisors, Healthcare Accountants, and Utilization / Claims Management personnel to ensure that your organization is running smoothly an in compliance with the many local, state, and federal regulations.

Primary among the Chief Financial Officer?s responsibilities is to take oversight of financial report generation and filing with the various regulating bodies. Along with this, you?ll serve as the executive voice of the organization?s financial health, and you?ll play an integral role in forward–looking strategy development.

Among the Healthcare CFO?s other responsibilities will be to supervise the accounting systems for the different functions within the hospital: general ledger, patient financial services, reimbursement, etc. Working with leaders from across the organization, you?ll facilitate the development of departmental budgets which feed into a master budget. The Chief Financial Officer will work with department heads on any modifications, adjustments, or audits that need to occur.
