Client Details
My client currently have six brands within the company and are looking to expand within the property industry by adding a management accountant to their already experienced team. They are a well-funded real estate development and funds management business in Rainham.
Description
The Key Responsibilities of this Management Accountant Role are:
- Preparing management report (including periodical project income-expense report, Profit and Loss statement, balance sheets and cash flow statements
- Statutory accounts preparation and submission to Companies House
- Dealing with Company Secretarial matters with Companies House
- Preparing Audit pack and liaise with Auditor for the annual audit
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and assist with the design and implementation of control improvements, such as the adoption of a new accounting software package
- Preparing and submitting VAT and Corporation Tax Return
- Assisting the development team on project cost management and prepare ad hoc internal reports as and when required, such as the preparation of control sheets and availability lists
- Assisting with various finance projects and produce reports to help management make business decisions
- Liaising with various external advisers and stakeholders (lenders, tax advisers, auditors and bankers)
Profile
The successful Management Accountant ideally has:
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience on Sage line 50 accounts and Sage Payroll
- Experience in VT accounts preparation is a plus
- Excellent communications skill, both written and verbal
- Ability and drive to work as part of a small and growing business
