Responsibilities include: Developing and creating model validation plans for AML related models Reviewing and providing feedback on the design, operation process and model algorithms/analytics related to AML solutions, including transaction monitoring, sanctions, customer risk scores, watch list, etc. Writing model validation reports, providing opinions on the fitness and use of the models Assist in development and maintenance of model documentation Assist model governance and processes in MRM Maintaining good working relationship with stakeholders, adopting a proactive communication engagement with model owners for future business and model use Staying abreast of changes in AML related regulatory requirements Position requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Business Administration, Finance, and/or Accounting with a minimum of five (5) years of related work experience. Master’s degree in a related discipline such as Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or Mathematics, with experience in validating models preferred. Familiar with SR11-7/OCC 2011-12 model risk management regulatory guidance AML and Sanctions regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC. Financial services companies business in retail banking, small business banking, commercial, institutional, trading, private banking, etc. Statistical techniques and methodology (sampling approaches), and/or regulatory/risk analyses. Statistical/data analytical skills, including data quality validation, descriptive statistics and predictive modeling experience. Statistical software packages such as SAS, SPSS, R, etc. Large databases for data manipulation and data queries, SQL AML transaction monitoring systems (preferably Mantas) and/or OFAC/sanctions screening systems (preferably LexisNexis Bridger). MS Excel and Word. Very well rounded in verbal and written communication, especially in documents and reports writing skills with concise and easily understandable language. Understand production output from AML monitoring and OFAC/sanctions screening technology. Produce meaningful reports from output of AML monitoring and OFAC/sanctions screening technology for communication to senior management. Execute the ongoing testing and model optimization strategy. Develop procedures documenting the processes implemented by the AML Optimization team. JCW is currently working on a search for a Senior Analyst, Model Risk Management – AML at a leading domestic diversified financial services organization. The qualified candidate will primarily perform independent model validation activities for AML related models, including (but not limited to) AML, Transaction Monitoring, OFAC/BSA/sanctions screening, Client Risk Scoring, The Senior Analyst role is responsible for validating AML models based on the criteria set out in SR 11-17 regulatory requirements with respect to governance, model inputs/outputs, conceptual soundness, process and controls.
