Description
Key Responsibilities
- Credit control
- All debt is chased and collected in a timely manner, dealing with queries promptly and efficiently
- Being an escalation point for the credit controllers and escalating to the Credit Manager where appropriate.
- All receipts are allocated daily
- Appropriate approvals are obtained prior to engaging with debt collectors or bailiffs.
- All write offs and adjustments are processed in accordance with defined guidelines.
- Review with the Credit Manager the aged debt monthly and assist with the calculation of the provision for doubtful debt.
- Ensure all monthly reporting of performance and metrics is completed and discussed with the Credit Manager.
- Manage and develop the Credit Controllers
Profile
The successful candidate:
- Experience having been responsible for own portfolio of customer collections.
- Experienced credit controller or senior credit controller
- Experience in supervising small teams.
- Personality traits of credibility, integrity, initiative, determination, and results-orientated.
- Self-starter and able to work independently
