As a Management Accountant, your primary role will be the production of monthly management and year-end accounts. Previous retail experience would be beneficial as you will also be involved in variance analysis across the group.

My client is a regional market-leader with circa £70m turnover based in Southampton.
Description
As a Management Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:
- The production of monthly management accounts.
- Accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and journals.
- Quarterly VAT returns and support of Audit and Tax computations.
- Support of annual budget and forecasting.
- Support of projects team and reconciliation of WIP projects.
- Group Variance Analysis.
- Ad-hoc supporting duties.
Profile
To be successful in your application for Management Accountant, you should have:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Ideally Part-qualified or Finalist ACCA/CIMA, or recently qualified.
- Experience in a Retail/FMCG would be beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills. You will be a flexible team player, willing to support where necessary to ensure that deadlines are achieved.
