About the role:

You will gain exposure to wide ranging finance-related responsibilities, a number of accounting and tax experts, plus operations in multiple countries. As part of your role, you will support the CFO in:

  • preparing the quarterly and annual financial and tax reporting
  • monthly financial planning
  • cash management
  • the budgeting process
  • coordinating payroll in multiple countries through our payroll partners
  • implementing and developing the finance processes
  • undertaking the quarterly company valuation.

About you:

As part of our small team, you will bring your own professional judgement to the role by sharing your experience and ideas, as well as learning from others as we work collectively to build an innovative, intelligent business that creates value for our shareholders and partners.

With a degree in business, and having specialised in accounting, you will have 3-5 years of practical hands-on experience in financial control. It goes without saying that your accounting and tax skills must be of a high standard; alongside this you will have strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Essential

  • 3-5 years' hands-on experience in financial controlling.
  • Degree in business administration with accounting specialisation.
  • High standard of accounting skills.
  • Good understanding of corporate tax structures, with the ability to review annual corporate tax returns.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes.
  • Prior experience in developing and implementing financial processes.
  • Strong process/project management skills and the ability to prioritise and juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, and in particular, Excel.

Desirable

  • ACA/CIMA or ACCA Qualified (or equivalent in other countries).
  • Experience of reviewing supplier contracts and corporate legal documentation.
  • Previous experience in company valuation: discounted cash flows and comparable multiples.
  • Expertise in developing Excel financial models (e.g. budget and business plan modelling) and ability to manipulate large volumes of data.
  • Proficient in French and/or any other continental European language.
