Immediate start on a 6 month contract for a top ASX listed organisation - Looking for an experienced and forward thinking management accountant

About the role
Reporting into the Management Accounting Manager within the shared services function, this role will provide key business insights and financial expertise to a focused business unit through the delivery of financial analysis and reporting for the Engineering portfolio.
Focusing on financial planning and reconciliations alongside financial control and governance frameworks, this role will also deliver on:
Performance result evaluation including commentary, insights and recommendations
Modelling and advice of financial outcomes through changes to Business Unit inputs and/or drivers
Coordination and delivery of month end and quarterly accounting and key insights
Complex financial modelling and robust stress testing analysis to support business cases including what if scenario analysis
Key performance analysis including key driver impacts on the business
Provision of external analysis such as benchmarking and competitor analysis
About you
To be the right fit for this role, you will be a fully qualified CA or CPA, preferably from Big 4 or 2nd tier background in Australia, UK or Ireland. You will have a commercially focused mindset and a keen eye for trends and information gathering, developed from a few years industry experience. You will be immediately available and able to work a six month contract (Working Holiday Visas are encouraged to apply)
Additionally you will have:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities including macros/VBA
Ability to build relationships and network across a complex Finance community
Experience partnering with the wider business and influencing
Industry experience in a large, complex ASX or MNC
Proven experience in analysis, strategic insight, budgeting and forecasting
