General Ledger Accountant c.€45k

General Ledger Accountant required on a permanent basis for major Galway based Construction Company.  Location:  Galway City Salary: c. €45,000 per annum Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of Monthly Financial Reports, Annual Audit and any other internal or external reporting requirement. Management of month-end close - ensuring it is completed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner; Preparation, analysis and posting of journals at month end; Preparation and analysis of key balance sheet reconciliations at month end; Calculation, posting and analysis of monthly accruals and prepayments, ensuring that all items are accurately captured; Ensure compliance with relevant reporting requirements such as RCT, VAT etc. Manage accounting staff of 3+ Ensure all on-hire/off-hire invoices are reconciled & processed timely; Provide critical financial information to management and other departments as required. Requirements: Accounting Qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA desirable Third Level Degree or equivalent 3 years relevant experience in a similar role managing a busy Accounting department Strong time management skills are a must ERP Systems experience is desirable Have good communication skills Strong computer skills especially MS Office   For a confidential discussion and a more detailed job spec pleease feel free to contact Purcell Head Office.
