An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious finance analyst to join an international FMCG company with offices in Milton Keynes. The role offers full study support for the right individual as well as unparalleled progression and development opportunities.

Client Details

The client is a renowned FMCG company with a global presence. Sustained growth in their Milton Keynes offices has led to the need for a finance analyst to support a number of their high-profile contracts.

Description

Key responsibilities of the successful Finance Analyst include:

  • Completing month end for various high-profile contracts
  • Posting required journals to the system
  • Reconciling contract costs
  • Proactively Business Partner with all Operations teams to ensure a good understanding of the key cost drivers and analyse how any current issues the operation is facing would impact on finance
  • Keep accrual and prepayment schedules
  • Maintain asset register and analyse depreciation in line with expectations
  • Resport contractual KPIs
  • Attend monthly meetings with the customer to explain cost variances as required

Profile

The successful candidate will be:

  • A Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 2 years finance experience
  • Demonstrable evidence of business partnering in a previous role
  • Confident explaining financial concepts and data to non-finance colleagues and clients
  • Excellent IT skills, especially Excel and at least one major ERP system such as Sage, Oracle, SAP or Navision
  • A confident, clear communicator
  • A self-starter who proactively seeks out colleagues to collaborate on issues
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task to meet tight deadlines

Ideally:

  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders
  • Experience of working with open book contracts
