SkillSet: Drivers, Hyperion, Testing, CAN, Management. The Role: Join us a Manager, Cost Accounting & Reporting. In this role, you will be responsible to Support and enable that all financial transactions are appropriately recorded and substantiated to reflect true and fair position as per the defined Group policies / procedures and guidelines and provide necessary information for Statutory reporting for the RBS group What the Business Does: This role is based in the Gurgaon at Cost Accounting & Reporting GFS Business Unit Control division reporting to the Sr Manager of Cost Acc & Repl. This team supports cost accounting and reporting across all franchises, regions and countries. They also support invoice & expenses processing, month-end & fixed assets accounting, management reporting, budget, etc. Your Responsibilities as a Manager Cost Accounting & Reporting, you will be: -Perform month-end activities for a specified business unit and/or regional entity and provide accurate & clean commentaries for respective functions. -Identify Business drivers of material cost movement and report it to business/ Onshore MI contact. -Coordinating with Regional finance team to arrange the rectification entries in Ledger to ensure the accurate reporting -Provide P&L; (Direct Cost) analysis at various levels with commentary -Monitoring numbers in reporting system on specified WD to ensure that any anomalies can be addressed on time -Setting up the Exco templates as per the latest changes in the hierarchy -Analyse Balancesheet and comment to MoM / QoQ /YoY variances -Provide necessary support in Budget & Forecast Exercise for a specified business unit and/or regional entity -Involved in analysis and preparation of overall budget and forecast exercise along with onshore team -Upload the final numbers in the system and review once before it gets finalized Line of Defence control framework: -Comply with relevant Group Policies, testing and certifying (or considers and escalates) the adequacy and effectiveness of the businesss controls on a regular basis. -Establishes and documents (or follows and/or maintains) operating procedures which include relevant controls to meet Group and local policy requirements. Conduct Risk: -To be accountable for ensuring you understand, uphold and promote the Conduct Risk standard pillars of Employee Conduct, Corporate Conduct, Market Conduct and Conduct towards our customers. In order to be successful in this role, you must have the following skills & experience: -Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals ideally gained in a financial services/banking environment (ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent) -Good cost management, reporting and analysis experience; -Experience of accounting software applications. -Knowledge of banking applications: eg Walker; INEA; Hyperion MS Office (Excel, Word).
