This FP&A role has a huge variety of tasks, is fast paced and the team are constantly reacting to new challenges almost on a daily basis but that's what they love and they want someone who also thrives under that type of pressure.
You'll be looking at Sales performance of newly launched product range - monitoring the KPI's - take the lead on the overseeing sales activity -review the bonus scheme -Sit with the Sales Managers to agree their budgets. Deliver the forecasting. Report on variance and get underneath the numbers to understand the business.
You will add commercial insight - be a true business partner - help with product pricing -get involved in competitor analysis -support month close if needed...
You might work to implement the systems better.....you will definitely need to be an expert in Excel because you have to be - this is a growth business - they have an ERP, but you need to be comfortable modelling in Excel as that's key to the business and the numbers
The type of candidate that will be successful will either have been through a start up Pharma business and seen the day to day challenges or you will have a broad experience in a larger Pharma business.
You will have to have worked in Pharma/ Healthcare/ bio-medical/ biotec or very similar industry and be able to manipulate large volumes of data in excel -you will be able to model in Excel.
You understand finance, you are an accountant, you have business partnered Sales/ marketing. You've monitored sales performance and made recommendations that have commercial merit and steer the business in the right direction.

1) Degree Educated Qualified Accountant
2) Pharmaceuticals Industry background ( ideally start up or at least several roles in a larger company)
3) You have owned a Departmental P&L in the sector
4) You have monitored KPI's for Sales and set up Sales Analytics
5) You have Business Partnered with Sales and Marketing.
6) You can create Financial models in Excel
7) You have demonstrable experience of influencing commercial operations
