Senior Manager - UK Tax

SkillSet: Individual Tax, UK Tax, uk taxation. Be the GDS account lead on key engagement(s), managing the engagement team and a large portion of the business Demonstrate high level of technical knowledge, skills and apply own expertise Sign complex Tax returns Finalize Tax position documents Play a key role in building process efficiencies and improvements leading to higher quality service delivery to the client Establish and maintain long-term relationships with the clients and internal colleagues Explore opportunities to bring more work to the GDS and to company by consistently providing high quality work Oversee day to day operations and engagement milestones Efficiently manage engagement financials Set performance measurements and ensure that performance goals, including engagement economics, turnaround time and quality targets are met Drive high level advisory and ad-hoc projects Identify opportunities to cross-sell extended services to clients, leverage information and resources across assignments and teams Exhibit an in-depth understanding of the organization policies related to independence, confidentiality and privacy, client acceptance and engagement letters, tax return preparer guidelines and knowledge-sharing Adhere to practice protocols and other internal processes consistently People responsibilities Create and lead the highest performing teams Facilitate teaming and manage conflicts Motivate and inspire team members Lead by example and be a role model Demonstrate leadership and executive presence Coach team members Develop a flexible and adaptive management style Technical skills requirements Bachelors /Master s degree in Commerce, Management, Accountancy or Tax. ATT, CTA or ACCA qualification (s) will be an added advantage Additional skills requirements Effective communication skills by being articulate, thoughtful and adapting communications to target audiences; interacting effectively in person, by phone and in writing
