Are you working within a claims function looking seeking to develop further or working in a fraud function looking to work for a global market leader? Then read on.. My client, a leading insurer are looking to hire a skilled Claims Handler for a newly established team, part of their Fraud function. Key Responsibilities: • Proactively investigate and forensically review suspicious claims for both liability and motor bodily injury claims in line with agreed operational and regulatory guidelines in support of the claims fraud strategy • Handle cases identified as potentially fraudulent from notification to settlement, negotiating directly with claimants or third parties where appropriate • Collaborate with fraud investigators, claims insights and analytics, and wider claims department to ensure a consistent approach to combatting fraud • Utilise all appropriate methods of identification including the fraud database, red flag system, data capture • Establish liability through desktop investigation and the instruction of investigators and external resources • Attend court as appropriate for litigated cases • Report on findings, and keep claims fraud database up to date • Proactively identify and action improvements to the fraud identification and management process • Develop technical expertise within the claims team, share knowledge and fraud specific technical knowledge across the claims function as appropriate • Support the claims digital journey by keeping up to speed with the technology available to improve detection rate, leading implementation of fraud detection and management tools • Act as a subject matter expert for Claims fraud internally; collaborating with colleagues across the business to share knowledge and improve operational processes • Collaborate with Claims Insights and Analytics to gather and analyse data pertinent to fraud Key Requirements: Essential • CIP, APA Personal, APA Commercial or MCC/Relevant professional qualification (grandfather) • Minimum 3 Years experience in Bodily Injury Claims Function, with experience in fraud identification OR previous experience within a specialist Bodily Injury Claims Fraud role • Experience in identifying and investigating fraud Desirable • A proven track record of service delivery and reporting against relevant KPI's (e.g.; service level agreements, targets and quality metrics) • Experience in both damage and injury claims Please feel free to contact me on 01 614 6098 or by email stephen.obrien(at)cpl.ie to discuss in the greatest of confidence.
