This leading, global insurance business is increasing headcount in their Internal Audit function, in order to create further value-add to the business. This organization has a very advanced governance culture and risk based audit approach, and they are looking to hire a senior Data Analytics professional to support the Auditors with statistical analysis and data mining.

You will be working closely with the Internal Auditors to align, direct, and manage the integration of data analytics and business intelligence necessary to meet the objectives of Internal Audit. This involves building and maintaining the Audit Data Analytics architecture, tools and techniques and applying data mining techniques and big data analytics to drive actionable insights hidden in significant amounts of data. Furthermore, you would be required to interpret complex analysis and insights for a non-technical audience and senior leadership teams. You will also be responsible for developing training and usage of data analytics capabilities within the Internal Audit team.

Candidate Requirements:

You should be highly curious with a passion for applying advance analytics techniques to solving problem statements relating to risks and controls assessments by the internal audit function. Additionally, you would possess:

  • At least 8 years of experience in a data and business analytics role within financial services, or in a consulting environment
  • Extensive experience using statistical and business intelligence tools, specifically Tableau and ACL
  • Experience in applying data analytics for audit (external or internal) would be highly desirable
  • Proven ability to apply advanced data analytics techniques such as predictive analytics to the risk, regulatory or compliance functions of an organization would be desirable
  • Good stakeholder management skills and credibility during conversations
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Ability to coach and develop people
