Job Description
General Accountability:
To provide analytical, advisory and facilitating services to support management decision-making and will establish processes and controls to support regional projects and on-going operations to achieve their business objectives and priorities.

This position takes ownership of all the financial and management reporting of Regional office and is fully accountable for the quality, accuracy and timely production and analysis of management information for Regional Office and Regional Office Allocation. The candidate is part of the cost management team, working together with other peer managers, reporting to the Senior Director, Regional Controllers to provide valued financial information and act as a trusted advisor to business units, senior management in Asia and Group office to achieve the goals and strategies.

Responsibilities:
This role requires solid understanding of financial reporting, expense management and reporting and driving processes improvement and implementing controls.
-Lead the monthly closing for Regional Office, deliver timely and reliable monthly / quarterly / annual reporting deliverables to Regional Office / Corporate/ external regulators, including analysis of monthly/quarterly results and forecasts for the Regional Office.
-Lead and in charge of all intercompany charges and communication with BUs to ensure proper elimination on Group level.
-In charge of RO allocation charging, reportings and communication with BU and addressing all RO allocation queries or concerns to meet all local statutory requirements and to ensure transparency and mutual understanding.
-Partner with the key stakeholders, including the Function Owner, to identify the spending trend and patterns, potential savings / accrual needed and area of potential spending to align with and achieve the Regional Office and Asia Division strategic goals. Provide monthly expense reports to the functional heads in Regional Office and address any queries.
-Oversee the processes and controls for the offshore accounting team for efficient execution of daily activities (entries, reconciliation, etc.). Ensure controllership and SOX compliance by establishing processes and controls for the offshore accounting team for efficient execution of daily activities (entries, reconciliation, etc.). Drive the processes and controls improvements on expense management.
-Accountable for all expenses governance process to implement the control and monitoring of the Regional Office expenses. Perform the monthly run rate analysis on the Regional Office expenses by functions to support the management decision of senior management.
-Conduct the quarterly impairment assessment for Asia Division.
-Support on the overall Expenses management reporting to provide variance analysis by functions and by Business units.
-In charge of the quarterly / annual financial statements and cashflow forecast for the Hong Kong Asia holding companies, dealing with auditors, maintaining the related books and records, preparing the board meeting materials to support Directors.
-In charge of the quarterly / annual financial statements and cashflow forecast for the Liaison entities, dealing with auditors and maintaining the related books and records. Ensure the local auditors and tax consultants to ensure the operations comply with the local laws and regulations.
-Participate in projects as assigned or other ad hoc activities.

Skills & Competencies:

Qualifications & Experience:
-A recognized accounting degree with at least 12 years of post graduate experience.
-Qualified member of a professional accounting body.
-Fluency in both written and spoken English.
-Experience in Big4, insurance or financial services will be an advantage.
-Prior experience of managing shared services/ offshore team will be an advantage.
-Knowledge in Hyperion-Essbase is a plus.
