Our client is an established asset management house renowned for its diversified investment management services and products to high net worth individuals, financial intermediaries and institutional clients. They are now seeking for top calibre candidates to join them in Hong Kong.

Responsible for carrying out finance functions for multiple legal entities in Hong Kong and China, including accounting, tax, internal and external reporting and treasury operations. Work closely with the project team to support the implementation of projects on accounting and expense management system upgrade and finance operational process review/outsource. This role also interacts extensively with the US and regional accounting teams to support the year-end financial statements review as well as other head office reporting.

Support the month-end closing for multiple legal entities in Hong Kong and China to ensure the transactions are completely and accurately recorded in accordance with IFRS, and global finance policies and procedures; and report according to the stipulated timelines. Support the department activities to ensure payments, billings, treasury transactions are properly authorized and executed in line with the group policies and in a timely basis. Support the preparation of internal and external financial reports, regulatory returns, tax filings and any other reports as required, and ensure the filings are done on a timely basis. Assist with the implementation of new or revised accounting standards or company policies and procedures. Analyze complex accounting transactions.

Manage and support the implementation of system enhancement / upgrade projects, to ensure the UATs are timely performed and any issues are properly reported and follow up and resolved. Support the new product launch / business initiatives. Support the process improvement review. Participate in other regional or global assignments / initiatives within the Finance Group as and when required. Provide coaching and guidance to department staff. Respond to business units' queries and information needs. Provide advice and guidance where necessary

To be considered, you will hold a University degree with a minimum of 7 years in finance operations, including supervisory experience in financial industry, asset management is a plus. CPA qualification. Experience in Hong Kong and China accounting standards. Experience with enterprise accounting and reporting systems e.g. PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP is required. Solid knowledge of IFRS is required. Additional exposure to US GAAP will be viewed favourably. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
