Australian retail organisation developing their online platform and require a Commercial Analyst to generate and drive business strategies

The Company:

Our client is an industry leading retail business in the Australian market. They're going through an exciting transformation phase within the business to improve and develop the accessibility and function of their online platform. Online shopping is becoming increasingly popular and it is predicted to become one of the largest generators of revenue for the business. Therefore they are seeking an experience and innovative Commercial Analyst to assist communicate between IT and the finance team in driving business strategies.

About the Role:
  • Partner with business units to identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives throughout the various business units
  • Act as commercial business partner to the business
  • Assist with the preparation of forecasts and budgets for both finance and non finance stakeholders
  • Drive reporting duties, including month-end analysis
  • Provide insight on key drivers, including preparation of management reports
  • Conduct area business reviews identifying productivity improvement opportunities
  • Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis and insights in a timely manner
  • Developing business models which support sustainable profitable growth

About you:
  • CA/CPA qualified or studying
  • A minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience as a Commercial Analyst
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal communication and critical thinking skills
  • Well-rounded team player
