You will be part of the Global Markets, Know Your Customer ("KYC"), Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") Transaction Monitoring and Client Administration team, responsible to carry out the Client Account Documentation for Treasury/Investment products and KYC due diligence checks for new and existing clients including Worldcheck name screening, management reporting and AML on-going transaction monitoring of clients' transactions. You will work closely with the Sales, Compliance and Operations teams to carry out the necessary Client Onboarding and KYC/AML checks.

- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all account opening documentation;
- Communicate client onboarding documentation requirements to stakeholders and update departmental operating procedures to keep abreast of changes in account documentation;
- Maintain and update customer records in our database;
- Co-ordinate negotiations in legal documentation;
- Carry out monthly review of dormant accounts tagging;
- Liaise with Operations team for account set-up in system;
- Perform post-trade monitoring review of investment products' transactions in line with the Financial Advisors' Act ("FAA") for non-accredited clients;
- Conduct KYC due diligence checks of prospects prior to new client onboarding;
- Conduct ongoing KYC reviews of existing customers as required;
- Perform name screening of customers against various sanctioned lists;
- Review customers' transactions to detect and report unusual transactions or activities including filing of STRs to Compliance where required;
- Perform regular and ad-hoc management reporting;
- Manage AML/CFT queries from internal stakeholders;
- Undertake the roles and responsibilities of an AML partner for the Business in supporting Compliance on adherence to the Group AML/CFT Policy and Guidelines;
- Update the Business KYC/AML operating procedures as required and conduct KYC/AML training to internal stakeholders;
- Other projects e.g. involvement in system upgrades, undertake AML self-assessment exercise, operational risk management and supporting various audit reviews.
Job requirements:
- A degree in accountancy/business/finance or equivalent from a reputable tertiary institution;
- Possess at least 2-3 years' experience in the financial services industry with good knowledge of treasury and banking products;
- Meticulous and Detail-Oriented;
- Have a good understanding of Client Onboarding Documentation requirements, Anti-Money Laundering and the Countering the Financing of Terrorism laws and regulations;
- Knowledge of World Check name screening engine is an added advantage;
- Proactive and flexible, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment to deliver results;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff;
- Is an effective team member with a hands-on approach to challenges and deadlines;
- Proficient in IT skills especially MS Excel and PowerPoint.
